📖 SERMON 208 — JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE
Preacher:
Date:
Text: Romans 3:23–24
Subject: Justified Freely by His Grace
INTRODUCTION
All men stand guilty before God. Whether Jew or Gentile, religious or irreligious, all alike are under sin. Paul gathers all humanity under one verdict: There is none righteous, no, not one. This passage reveals both the universal problem and the divine remedy.
1. All have sinned. Not some. Not most. All.
2. Sin is not merely outward action but inward corruption.
3. Every person falls short of the glory of God.
4. No one can boast before God.
1. Justification is God’s declaration that a sinner is righteous.
2. It is not earned, not a reward for good works.
3. God remains just even while He justifies the sinner.
1. It comes without price.
2. Nothing in us moved God to justify us.
3. It is not based on human goodness, merit, or effort.
1. Grace is undeserved favor.
2. Grace is God acting in love toward the unworthy.
3. Grace alone explains salvation from beginning to end.
1. Christ paid the ransom price with His blood.
2. Redemption means deliverance from bondage.
3. Christ satisfied God’s justice.
4. All who believe are united to Him and share His righteousness.
CONCLUSION
Do you confess your sin?
Have you embraced the free justification found only in Christ?
There is no other hope. All have sinned, but all who believe are justified freely by His grace.
